Sweet!

I think I did a double take when I saw a robin sitting on my platform feeder..I remember thinking, what do you suppose this bird is eyeing from that bird seed mixture?

Oh my goodness, it is eating the grape jelly!! lol! A surprise to me!!
I see him every day getting his jelly fix! Morning, noon and late day.. I love it!!
(click to see that big blob of jelly he is holding in his bill)

  4. ... and I just told someone that robins are not feeder birds. Except for the robins eating dropped apples last winter, your grape jelly is the closest I'v come to seeing robins on a feeder. Thanks1

  5. Ruth, Betsy and Chris,
I am glad you mentioned that you, too, weren't aware of robins eating jelly..I wonder if they are fond of grapes? I know Ruth mentioned a long time ago that she fed them raisins..

  14. I had to laugh. Yes they eat jelly and peanut butter and also the cracks and pieces of the meat of sunflower seeds. In fact there is one mother who waits on other birds to kick out sunflower pieces of seed so she can get it.

  15. Great photographs! We used to feed raisins to Robins when they came to WI before the snows were finished. But I never thought they would eat jelly at a feeder.
