Look what I found a few days ago!! A Magnolia Warbler. My first! Yea!!
It's always amazing to me to see how Mother Nature helps it creatures blend with the colors of the fall season. After having heard from many experienced birders about all the markings one has to be aware of to identify fall warblers..and there are so many variations..whew!! It's my opinion that this little warbler should get top billing for "having the most"! A nice, bright eye ring, striking wing bars, some streaking on it's yellow underparts...and a tail that shows a large white patch in front of that black tip! Lucky for me that I got a photo of it to study...as I probably wouldn't have remembered any of those field markings two seconds after it flew away! ;0

Wow too cool! And you got a nice shot of it... You have so many beautiful warblers around! I think we definitively miss that in Iceland!! Well done Tina, and have a nice week end.

Tina: What a beauty. I really like your new header, great capture.
Wow you know it Tina! This is one of the hardest things for me...warbler IDing!! Congrats!!
Awesome! It's always so exciting to see a bird for the first time.
Good shot.
We keep trying here but with all the animals, the birds won't sit still long.
We have captured a woodpecker and a pair of cardinals but only we know that is what the picture is!
Congrats! - life birds are thrilling and that's a good one

Good for you....You could almost miss it in with all those little yellow leaves.
Wow! You're really on a roll with the hard-to-find skittish birds. Fantastic!
Yippee...Congratulations Tina..
and photos to boot...I always have a hard time capturing these little fellas.
Congrats on your new bird! He's gorgeous. Some of those warblers are hard to identify, especially when they're young birds or females.
Your new head picture for your layout is quite lovely :)
Neat shot of this warbler, I like the way it blends into its habitat.
