We are all watching...

Yes, they have returned. Our woods are full of White-Throated Sparrows!!I was happy to see them all fluttering among the bushes and scrubs foraging for food.

but I when I saw this deer peeking out over that fallen tree...

and this beautiful cardinal looking out over a small pond....sigh.. I knew they, like me, are looking for the return of those Dark-Eyed Juncos...that one bird who really says, "you know what is coming!" ;-0

Hi Tina,
I'm happy that you are getting some of your birds back in your forest and trees... Then we will get plenty of nice shots to see. But the most funniest and my favorite is the deer... The composition is awesome and that's a perfect shot... I love the cardinal too but I would like some of them to come over here... Oh wait, maybe I have to migrate over to you to see them :-) Thanks for sharing this nice post with us!

The juncoes are here yet but judging by the snow forecast they can't be far behind.

Beautiful Tina... Glad your 'winter' birds are coming back... Love that little sparrow. I've never seen one.

Great picture of the deer also.

Hugs,
Betsy

Love your new header! Sweet!

Love to see the WT Sparrows and Juncos return in the fall. The only problem is that they are a good signal that winter is not far behind.

Most excellent photos! I'd love to see a cardinal some day; never have and they are rare in the area I live. Love the peeking deer photo! :o)

What a nice series of shots Tina. Love that deer peeking out at you. And I love your new header. What is that flower? I don't recognize it.

Great photographs. I especially love the expression on the deer. How sweet is that?

The White-throats probably earn my favorite sparrow award (except maybe when the fox Sparrow makes it brief visits) - especially when they sing their plaintive lament - nice pics

Nice series of bird images, the first one is so well composed.

I could post one or two Juncos to set you on the right course for winter. It sure was a nice day here today but the only birds were some chickadees among a lot of sparrows.

Crows have flocked and are together and really number around 100 as they pass overhead.

I guess the deer was trying to decide if it was safe to come out. That is a great photo. I'm guessing it won't be long before our winter birds are back.

Yeah, we know what is coming...some SNOW! Woo-hoo, Tina! Winter is almost here! Juncos and snow, yes! At least you guys get snow, but us southerners are always hopeful for some good dumpings of the white stuff down our way... White-throated sparrows are another of my favorites. :-)

Beautiful photos of all the birds. I have not seen the White throated Sparrow yet, but yesterday I did see my first Junco.
