Gosh, there were no birds at our feeders this morning. Rain, rain, rain and only Mr TV "eyeing" us as we walked our 2 miles in the drizzling mist. You might have to click on pic to see that stare!
Barb, thanks, I've been playing with burst mode on my camera so it was pure luck to capture him at all. lol The rain was more of a misty precip. when I was trying to get pics of him overhead. A lot of focus, for me, in an early morn and I was completely surprised I got this one! We try and walk 3 miles every day if we can!
Hmmmm Tina... Looks like your birds must have come to our feeders today. They seem to come out in full-force here when it rains!!!! Love your shot of the vulture! Hugs, Betsy
Craig, My camera is a Nikon D60. I just got it in June and, as you can tell, I have a lot to learn about this particular camera. I am starting to feel more comfortable with choosing some settings, tho, and getting off of that little green square...called auto focus!! There are a lot of great cameras out there, I'm sure you will find the right one for you.
I am a beginning birder and have learned so much my first year..thanks to all of you and my birder pals here in Pa. Looking forward to Spring and migration!!!

Mary, thank you, fabric always has captured my attention..now I'm learning how to create pictures with it!!
Lynne, that would be cool, to have a vulture follow one around! I probably would have trouble getting photos of other birds tho. tee he
You captured his massive wing span well! Hope the rain lets up soon!

Tina: Your Buzzards seem to have a lot blaer wings then ours. What a neat photo.
You doen't want him to look too close :)
I tend to say "Oh, it's just a buzzard...." I shouldn't DO THAT! Look at this amazing shot you have here.
